Every book chosen for review will fall into one of two categories:
- The book has some doctrinal error and requires the exercise of discernment
- The book addresses a complicated topic often requiring discernment and is a recommended resource to help clarify the topic at hand
Each book review will strive to answer the following questions:
Content. What is the book about? Biblical Accuracy.Does the book correctly apply Scripture? Consistency.Does the book contradict itself? Scholarship. What is the book’s educational value?
Since many of these categories will overlap (ex: Evaluation of Content) will be based on Biblical Accuracy), all categories will not be discussed in every book review.Books under review will be rated on a scale of 1 – 5 according to their doctrinal worth, with 1 representing the lowest doctrinal value and 5 representing the highest.
Lastly, book reviews are not critiques of the authors themselves. Whatever the author has made public, we will discuss in public. Whatever the author has kept private, we will keep private. 1
